September Albums

so september this year has been ripe with new releases and i must say i feel a bit disappointed by some of them.

MUSE: THE RESISTANCE

an interesting new sound for these guys, they traded in guitar riffs that would blow your mind away for haunting piano tracks that just leave you wondering what happened to these fellas? i have to applaud them for going in a new direction but i hope with album number six they make a change, be it a drastic change back or what not.
GRADE REPORT: C+

PORCUPINE TREE: THE INCIDENT
im not the biggest fan of porcupine tree but this new album is mainly one freaking giant song of death. thats how insane steve wilson is. real freaking insane. its so hard for me to just sit there and listen to it but even still
GRADE REPORT: B+

BRAND NEW: DAISY
a cross between emo and indie these guys are always a staple in my ipod (Christopher Walken). but this new album stays true most of the time to Deja Entendu and The Devil and God Are Raging Inside of Me. the first track is abysmal but other than that the album keeps up the known sound with some new styles. it's not as much of a disappointment as muse...
GRADE REPORT: B

so you see this month has been a bit dry for releases that i can think of off the top of my head. next month stay tuned for new flaming lips where we'll have a huge review of the 18 track spectacular

tune in tomorrow nite for more of kyle and tim's delicious voices
