hey i know i havent updated in quite some time but i just recently got back from the latest film from super star sascha baron cohen entitled bruno and i have to say i almost urinated in my pants =)
the film itself was very similar to borat with a rather simple plot of a man going to america but instead of trying to find pamela anderson he seeks to be famous. it's a bit different. the story here is real simple and is quite funny when you think about how he goes about it. what baron cohen does best is show the negative attitudes people have towards a certain culture. if you remember borat you would see the racisim that ensued when he came to america, comments about terrorism. while here bruno is a homosexual there still is that discomfort amongst some of the people in the film.
the fact that it was meant to be a documentary in it's style of film is slightly evident in some scenes where the camera movement feels rather unprofessional but other than that it's a solid work on the camera side. as for the audio it was easily heard and didn't feel like it was a cheap film at all to make.
the jokes were rather lewd and in my opinion fucking hilarious. i had moments where i did stop laughing but those were few and far between. i'm not going to mention any jokes from teh film or any scenes so that people will still find it funny when they go to see it in theaters. i highly reccomend seeing it bc its freaking hilarious.
